Research is divided on whether core values evolve or change.
However in our experience, you may find that your profile looks different if you answer the questions considering a different context – for example your work cultural profile may be different to your home cultural profile. While it is unlikely that your core values change significantly, it is possible that you will notice some change as you consciously adapt your skills and behaviors to become more culturally intelligent particularly if you have scores that are far left or far right on any of the scales.
If there is a significant change in your professional circumstances – a strong new leader or a dramatic change of organizational culture or a change of job, we would recommend retaking the assessment. Change can happen as a result of conscious effort to adapt your style to those around you over a period of time.
We must also acknowledge that if you take the assessment multiple times in a short period, familiarity with the questions may also bias and influence your results. We would not recommend taking the assessment more than once per year.
